Non Working Holiday on August 5, 2009

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared August 5 to be a special non working holiday so the Filipino people will have the chance to join the funeral procession and burial of the former president of the Philippines, Mrs. Corazon C. Aquino.

Aside from this holiday declaration, the Malacañang has also announced a ten (10) day period of national mourning for the death of our country’s democracy icon.
