A 20 year old Russian blonde Kseniya Sukhinova won the 2008 Miss World Beauty Pageant Title beating 108 international ladies all over the world. She is the second Russian contestant to win Miss World, the first was Julia Kourotchkina in 1992.

Miss India’s Parvathy Omanakuttan was crowned 1st runner up while Gabrielle Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago got the 2nd runner up.

The event held in Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa and lasted for three-hours. It was telecast live in more than 180 countries across the world through more than 350 television broadcasters. The glittering ceremony was watched by about 2 million audience.
